Sand and Buff… What Do The Paint Manufacturers Say?

Sand and Buffing a panel is an operation that many insurers try to avoid unless there is proof it’s needed. This often requires the field damage appraiser to go back out and re-photo the vehicle to document. I thought it would be great to see what the actual suppliers of the paint say.


Here’s part of one quote “While refinishing automotive panels with zero dirt inclusions is possible in theory, it rarely happens in actual practice.”
