Nevada AB 447 Proposes That Auto Total Loss Threshold Be 100%

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN 

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 

 Section 1.  NRS 487.790 is hereby amended to read as follows:  

 487.790  1.  “Total loss vehicle” means a motor vehicle: 

 (a) Of a type which is subject to registration; and 

 (b) Which has been wrecked, destroyed or otherwise damaged to 

such an extent that the cost of repair, not including any cost 

associated with painting any portion of the vehicle, is [65] 100 

percent or more of the fair market value of the vehicle immediately 

before it was wrecked, destroyed or otherwise damaged.

California Air Resources Board To Shops… Check The Air.

The CARB as part of the bid to save the world from “Global Warming” will require  automotive repairers to check the tire pressure of every vehicle they service. The tire pressure check requirement will apply to smog check stations, engine repair and oil service providers.
