In a data analysis of California and Texas fender benders from January 1st 2008 to August 1st 2008, the cities with the largest amount of these claims seemed to correlate and track closely with the most populous cities as would be expected.  The leaders in California were Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Ana, San Jose and lastly San Francisco. In Texas, Houston led the way followed by Dallas, Forth Worth, San Antonio and Austin.

So obviously as common sense would prevail, the more people concentrated in one area will likely lead to more fender benders.
