CA AB 2825 author caves on requiring shops to provide parts invoices.
In an effort to push Assembly bill 2825 through, D-Wilmer Amina Carter, the bill’s author said that forcing shops to share parts invoices with vehicle owners was never her intent. She decided to remove the requirement and the bill passed with an overwhelming majority. The same basic bill was vetoed last year by California’s governor. The bill will still require shops to sign the final customer invoice confirming the parts listed on the estimate where one’s actually used.
